You know how we do. Today is National Crabmeat Day, so...OF COURSE. We can think of no better place to celebrate than Brooklyn’s pantheon to all things crustacean, the Crabby Shack.

Take your pick: steamed Alaskan snow crab legs, crab tacos, crab BLT, crab macaroni and cheese, crab cake sliders, crab and corn chowder, crab tater tots. Our favorite is the crab roll — sweet shredded crab and generous portions of leg meat, packed inside a buttery, toasted potato bun. And don’t sleep on their sides, including broccoli well seasoned with garlic butter and Old Bay, and a thick, cakey slice of griddled

Owned by Fifi Bell Clanton and Gwendolyn Miles (not pictured above; those are members of their friendly staff), the Crabby Shack’s nautical, sunny design evokes a seaside destination. With a beachy menu that also offers lobster, shrimp and whiting specialites, a visit here is *almost* enough to make you forget about this Nor’easter.
